Actually Houston isn't the anti-union strong-hold this article portrays it as. The docks and petro-chemical plants along the Houston ship channel have long been unionized and those unions are pretty strong.

The Houston police are just a bunch of out of control cowboys, and always have been. They aren't anti-union, they're anti freedom.
