Why do they keep saying this?

Doesn't anybody know anything about American (Texas) history? They keep saying
Texas was supposed to be a bastion of support for Hillary Clinton in the battle for the U.S. Democratic presidential nomination, but it may turn out to be her Alamo.
The defenders at the Alamo were never expected to defeat Santa Ana. They were expected to delay him. And they did. They all died doing it, but they achieved the objective and Texas lost the battle but won the war. That's why it's such a heroic, epic story. They died to achieve the objective. Santa Ana killed them all, but he lost Texas in doing it.

Texas is not Hillary's Alamo. She's the invading army and it's her San Jacinto.

Don't they teach them Texas History in grade school back in New York City?
